Divorce and remarriage is a twenty-first century phenomenon. Blended families and step parenting are a reality. Sadly, the results are found in the emotional turbulence embedded in the lives of millions of children. It is our duty to do everything in our power to provide a nurturing environment to our children, the future.

Is it often a thankless, exhausting job to be a step parent. Is does not test how good of a person you are. Is tests your patience, your sanity, and the very core of your soul. And if you are not prepared, it bites into your relationship causing severe injury, permanent damage, or total destruction to your marriage.

How can you gain the respect and admiration of your stepchildren before your marriage self-destructs? What can you do to prepare yourself for this kind of a relationship? And more importantly, how can you get your stepchildren to trust and like you without spending the next millennium waiting for results?

There are the questions A Place for Growth helps parents to ask themselves and do the difficult work of finding the answers to.
